Samsung SPH-A960
While I have next to no details that I can provide, the new A960 that
Samsung was showing at a CTIA press event is a good looking handset
with a novel OLED external display. You will notice that Sprint is
shown on the main display, but of course Samsung says that there have
been no carrier announcements for the A960 and that what we are looking
at is merely an early unit running test software for show purposes.
But with that said, and with a name like A960, this device certainly
does appear to be headed for US CDMA carrier Sprint. Thus far I've
received no indication as to when we will actually get a formal
announcement for the device. So for now, these photos will have to do. Released for Sprint, the Samsung MM-A960 (SPH-A960)
is an excellent convergence of form and function. Featuring a unique
circular OLED external display, one of the key features of the MM-A960
is the built-in 1.3-megapixel camera with sliding lens cover. Equipped
with auto focus, flash, color adjustments, self-timer and multi-shot
feature, customers also can take advantage of the embedded camera to
capture a business card image and transfer the contact information
directly into the device's internal contacts.
