Samsung E870 is a lightweight clamshell phone with a very minimalistic
appearance on the exterior. Open up the phone and you will be surprised
by the large keys that give it a distinctive retro look. However
the build quality seems a little poor and plasticky, and the navigation
keys aren't that easy to use.
The
E870 has a very good range of features for a mid-range camera phone.
These include an excellent quality screen and a reasonable 1.3 megapixel
camera with a flash. The music player supports a wide range of music
formats, and audio quality is excellent. With 80 Mbytes built-in
memory and support for a microSD memory card, you can store lots
of music too. The
E870 supports email with a document viewer. There's support for
speaker-independent voice recognition and an integrated speakerphone.
Aircraft mode lets you use the phone offline. Battery life is good.
